Cal. 11mm Murata. S# 108072. Bbl. 32". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 1500m. The cocking piece is numbered "76175"; other visible numbers are matching. The receiver top has a fully intact mum. Left side of the receiver has Tokyo Arsenal markings. Hardwood stock with bottom-mounted sling swivels and repro sling. The rear band is loose. Cleaning rod is present. Right side of the butt has a Japanese roundel and "108" rack number. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Type 13 Murata bayonet with modern replacement scabbard. Bayonet does not fit Type 18 and has replacement hardwood grips with added varnish. The rear of the bayonet has a faint number with a kanji marking. Metal of the bayonet was cleaned, with scattered pitting and varnish overrun. CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal rework finish with a large chip on the left side between bands, a few cracks on the forend, scattered chips, gouges, dings, and handling wear. Metal has a mostly dull gray patina with some pitting below the woodline, light scratches, and scattered oxidation. Good bore that is mostly bright but shows scattered oxidation and light pitting.
