Cal. 8mm Murata. S# 23315. Bbl. 29 1/2". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2000m. Matching numbers on receiver, bbl., bayonet lug, bolt, bolt head, trigger guard, and rear sight parts. Russo-Japanese War-era tube-fed bolt-action repeating rifle. The receiver top has a fully intact mum. Left side of the receiver has Toyko Arsenal markings. Checkered hardwood stock set with bottom-mounted sling swivels. Early-type front band with bayonet lug. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: dummy 8mm Murata round made using a Winchester 303 British case, Type 22 Murata bayonet, and replacement child's training scabbard. Blade shows some light chipping. Bayonet & scabbard have an overall dull gray patina with scattered oxidation. CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal rework finish with a small crack at the front of the handguard, a few chips, gouges, scattered dings, and handling wear. Metal is mostly a dull brown patina with some notable pitting on the trigger guard, scattered oxidation, and traces of blue. Bore shows some pitting but strong rifling.
