CARTRIDGE CONVERSION REVOLVER. Cal. 44-40. S# 933. Bbl. 7 1/2" oct., standard configuration. 2 Piece flared walnut grips w/ crisp “RPB” (Captain R. P. Barry) inspectors cartouche. Original percussion cyl. was modified as was percussion hammer. CONDITION: fine overall, bbl. & frame retain 60-80% original blue finish, balance fading to plum/gray. Cyl. has traces of blue in cyl. stops & overall matching plum/gray. Grips have moderate edge wear w/ crisp cartouche. Mechanics are crisp w/ bright, shiny bore.
