PISTOL. Cal. 380 ACP. S# 682. Bbl. 3 5/8". Extremely scarce (1 of 3,100) slotted long frame vz.24 semi-automatic pistol, mfg. in Czechoslovakia by CZ between 1929 and 1931. The matte rib on the slide is marked "CESKA ZBROJOVKA A.S. v PRAZE. 682." with the CZ logo, followed by "29" marked on the left side. Sideplate is marked with a "C (ARROW) Z", followed by the S#. Frame and slide exhibit a blue finish, with the trigger exhibiting a reheated straw finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece smooth wood wraparound grip. Half-moon blade front sight, with dovetailed V-notch rear sight. Distinctive extended grip frame with slotted extension on backstrap. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, sideplate, slide, and bbl. Lanyard loop on butt is absent. Standard length: vz.24 mag. MAGS: one 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, as well as some areas of light to mild pitting (primarily on the left side of the slide), with some scattered flecks of surface oxidation present overall. Bright bore, exhibiting consistent mild pitting while retaining fair rifling throughout. Grip shows scattered marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, with a small crack present on the rear, stemming from the tip of the stock slot.
