BARREL TRAP GUN WITH SLIP CASE. Cal. 12 Ga. 2-3/4". S# 3233. The 32" ovate barrel has broad matted top flat fitted with 2 white beads. Barrel on right side of flat is engraved "Wesley Richards & Co. London.". Left side with importer "Von Lengerke & Detmold New York. Agents." Barrel flats are stamped with Birmingham nitro proofs for 2-3/4" chamber. Case hardened boxlock action features non-automatic safety. Action is line border engraved and maker's name is on each side. Straight grip buttstock of attractively streaked and figured European walnut measures 14-3/8" over brown leather covered pad. Point pattern checkering is a grip and a gold oval on toe line is engraved with monogram "CLB" (?). Matching one piece forend is fitted to two loops for extra strength. It has horn tip and Deeley release. Ejector system is housed in left breech end of barrel. MEASUREMENTS: BBL: Bore Diameter: .740. Restriction: .045 (extra full). Wall thickness: .040. STOCK: DAH: 2". DAC: 1-5/16". CAST: slightly off (face deeply swept). LOP: 14-3/8". WEIGHT: 7 lb. 9 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun comes with fine quality newer fleece lined dark brown leather slip case with monogram "FRG" on stitched oval. CONDITION: very fine as partially refinished. Barrel retains nearly all of a re-blue; top matting very soft. Action retains most of what appears to be original case hardening color, possibly a best re-color with subsequent wear. Top lever, floor plate and trigger guard re-blued. Trigger guard tang reshaped. Stocks retain nearly all of an old refinish with a good number of marks and dings. Bore is bright and shiny.
