Cal. 303 Brit. S# A4811. Bbl. 25 ½” w/ 1945 date. Blade front sight w/ added orange paint & protective ears. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2000yds. Scarce WW1 production Australian SMLE rifle. All matching numbers as arsenal refurbished. Right rear of receiver has Navy Arms import marking. Right side of socket has 1918 date & Lithgow markings. Parkerized finish. Hardwood stock set w/ right side of butt having Lithgow markings, 1942 & 7/45 dates. Bottom mounted sling swivels. No stacking hook present. MAGS: 1-10 rd. detachable. CONDITION: stock set shows a handguard crack, a small crack at rear right of butt stock, a few dents, scattered flaking, dings & handling marks. Metal retains 60% arsenal reworked parkerized finish w/ scattered light oxidation, thinning, fading & edge wear. Bore shows scattered pitting but strong rifling. (24-1561/MJC). CURIO. $600-800.
