A rare example of a WWII German Land Customs dagger measuring 16 1/4" overall with a plain blade marked "ALCOSO (logo) SOLINGEN" on one side and "ALBERT KUHL, MUNSTER I/W. ESSEN" on the other. Aluminum Customs eagle cross guard with leaf decorated pommel and ferrule. Wire wrapped leather grip. Leather covered steel scabbard with plated steel mounts. CONDITION: blade shows ample factory polish but has a bit of very light staining. Crossguard has had the Party symbol removed after the war. Grip leather has a well worn finish but the wire is complete. The scabbard also shows wear to the leather with a roughly 1/2" loss of leather 4" up from the tip. Mounts are solid with minor oxidation. (02-25780/BF). NON-GUN. $1,000-1,600.
