BOLT ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 7.7 Jap. S# 10471. Bbl. 25 1/2". Blade front sight with protective ears. Aperture rear sight with AA wings graduated to 1500m. Scarce paratrooper takedown version of the famed Type 99 Arisaka rifle. Matching assembly numbers on bbl., front and rear halves. All serialized parts are matching the receiver, including the firing pin. Receiver top has ground mum with Type 2 markings. Left side of the receiver has a serial number and Nagoya arsenal marking. Blued finish. Asian hardwood stock set with left side sling swivels. Underside of butt has strong Kanji inspection stamps. Cleaning rod present. CONDITION: handguard has a small crack ahead of rear sight; stock set otherwise shows scattered dings, handling marks, and a few abrasions. Metal retains 90% original blue with some light edge wear, light oxidation, and fading. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Bright, near excellent bore.
