WITH CASE. Cal. 20 Ga. 2 3/4". S# 27699. These scare little guns were amongst the highest quality offerings from Beretta after 2nd World War along with the SO series sidelock guns. This fine condition example has 27 1/2" monobloc barrels with narrow ventilated rib. A sling loop is fitted. Beretta info is on monobloc with engine turned sides. Bottom is stamped with 1961 Italian nitro proofs. Coin finished, low profile, scalloped back, boxlock type action features non-automatic safety, gold plated non-selective single trigger and square crossbolt double fastener. Action is engraved with well cut varying size shaded scroll within small scroll and geometric borders. A gold pigeon is inlaid on pierced top lever. Bottom of action is engraved with Beretta name and address. Straight grip buttstock of lightly marbled and figured European walnut measures 13 7/8" over thin red ventilated pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip and a sling loop is on toeline along with a gold oval engraved with the monogram "AC". Matching slim one piece forend has Deeley type release. WEIGHT: 5 lb. 15 oz. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun is housed in an older, possibly original, tan leather case lined in green felt, which contains a brown leather carrying strap and a slip on butt pad. CONDITION: exceptionally fine showing very little use with only a few minor handling marks in all factory finishes. Pad appears to be an early replacement. Bores are bright and shiny.
