Cal. 41. NSN. 4.5”overall, 1.5” barrel, this was shortest barrel made by Henry Schlotterbeck and nicknamed “peanut” for it's very small size. Schlotterbeck made exacting copies of Henry Deringer pistols. Schlotterbeck was foreman of Deringer’s shop and originally signed his pistols “Deringer” till he was sued in 1863. Schlotterbeck derringer pistols are virtually identical with exception of “steel” barrels & six groove rifling instead of Deringer’s seven groove. CONDITION: good to very good overall, smooth grey metal with good markings, good action, dirty rifled bore, about 25% original varnish. (01-21872/JS). ANTIQUE. $1500-2500.
