MACHINE GUN PARTS KIT. A 7.62x51mm NATO derivative of the Swiss SIG Stgw. 57 battle rifle, the SIG 510-4 was designed from the onset with a smaller profile, as well as a lighter overall weight, with the intent for sales to Chile. This parts kit is marked "ARMADA/ DE/ CHILE above the S# "5476" over the chamber section of the torch cut receiver, with the S# above an encircled "SIG" marked over the top of the buttstock socket. Kit consists of a bbl., bbl. shroud (attached to aforementioned torch cut receiver section), complete trigger assembly & housing, bolt assembly, charging handle, buttstock, 1 20-rd. mag., as well as a bayonet with scabbard. All serialized components are matching and include the bbl. shroud, front torch cut section of receiver, trigger housing, bolt assembly, buttstock socket, as well as the bayonet. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their arsenal applied finishes, exhibiting some areas of mild wear, with scattered superficial handling marks overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Buttstock exhibits scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with a crack stemming from the buttplate and a crack stemming from the sling loop provision on the left side. Handguard exhibits scattered marks and impressions, with additional drag lines (impressions) present from the bipod feet, as well as 2 small cracks on the left side at the rear. Bayonet is very good to excellent, exhibiting a few small pinprick spots of oxidation. A nice and seldom encountered example of an all matching SIG 510-4 parts kit. PROVENANCE: Lifelong Collection of Terrance McCarty. (02-21826-5/MLW). $2,000-3,000.
