MAKER. These were found in Machias, Maine. It’s very obvious they were promotional images for various types of wagons and buggies. They date to around the mid-19th century; 1855 to 1870. One image depicts a gentleman with a one horse 4-wheel wagon, another depicts a one horse 4-wheel cart with two gentlemen in it with canopy partially rolled down, another image is of the same or similar cart with one horse, also with the top partially down, the next image was taken during the winter time and depicts a single horse drawn sleigh with a gentleman at the seat and the final image is a horse drawn 4-wheel carriage with four horses; this was obviously a big wagon used to convey passengers as there are numerous people sitting in this wagon. SIZE: Each are varied, but essentially each are around 3-1/2” to 3-3/4” wide by approximately 2-1/2” high. CONDITION: generally good throughout. (05-122/JJ). $300-600.
