Cal. 40. S# C41570. Bbl. 30 1/2" oct. Brass blade front sight. Ladder rear sight. Appears to be an assembled 1874 style Sharps rifle w/ older action. Double set triggers. Last patent date on action is Oct 5th, 1859. Case colored action. Blued bbl. Bbl. appears unmarked. Checkered walnut stock & plain forend. CONDITION: refinished stock set shows a few chips on forend, a chip forming ahead of buttplate tang, scattered handling marks & a few light dings. Action retains nearly all of its tastefully restored case colored finish w/ some light oxidation & a few dings. Bbl. retains 98% restored blue w/ a few light dings. Good bore that shows some scattered pitting & frosting but strong rifling. PROVENANCE: From the personal collection of Brad Shepherd. (01-23802/MJC). ANTIQUE. $1000-1500.
