SHOT CARBINE. Cal. 50-70. S# C, 52414. Bbl. 22" w/ replacement blade front sight & 1,500 yd. graduated leaf rear sight. Conversion action has replacement lockplate & hammer w/ out primer feed mechanism. Saddle ring & bar are removed from left side. Tang screws are replacement. Original band fastened walnut forearm & replacement walnut grip stock w/ steel trapdoor buttplate of style used on Krag rifles. CONDITION: bbl. retains 70% dull lightly faded blue. Action has turned brown showing spots of light pitting & numerous dents. Sanded & refinished forearm shows wear & sm. chips. Replacement stock has poor fit around action, showing handling marks w/ crack extending from left side of buttplate. Functioning action. Bore retains sound rifling showing scattered pitting.
