Cal. 52. S# C, 37558. Bbl. 30" rnd. w/ pinned blade front sight & Lawrence patent graduated leaf rear sight. Adapted for socket type bayonet. Case colored action w/ Lawrence priming mechanism on lockplate. 3 Band walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ original sling swivels. Left side of stock has 3 clear cartouches. Comb of stock forward of buttplate peak has "A. W. N." inspector's mark. Buttplate peak has inspector's mark: "M". Trigger plate has inspector's initial "G". Left side of frame has "N" & "F" initials. Steel buttplate & patchbox are case colored. Approx. 6,150 were mfg. in the C30000 to C40000 S# range. CONDITION: bbl. retains over 80% lightly faded blue showing spotted corrosion. Action retains 80% case colors showing fading in carry areas. Patchbox & buttplate retain 50% case colors. Original wood finish shows scattered marks & sm. dents. Sound mechanics. Bore is bright w/ sharp rifling showing sm. spots of very light pitting.
