RIFLE. Cal.52. S#. C,33498. Bbl. 30" round. Blade front sight w/ Lawrence patent rear sight. Single shot breech loading action w/ primer feed mechanism on the lock plate. 3 band fastened walnut forend & straight grip stock has sling swivels, iron musket buttplate & rectangular lid iron patch box. Left side of stock has a partially visible cartouche. Approximately 6,150 mfg in S# range C30000-C40000. CONDTION: Metal finish has faded to an even brown retaining very good marking. Wood has added finish over wear & handling marks with an area of gouging on the left side of the wrist. Sound mechanics. The bore is generally bright w/ strong rifling showing a few spots of pitting.
