FORCE ON ASIATIC STATION WITH STEREOVIEW. A signed order written from the Flagship Olympia in Manila, Philippines, on April 30, 1899. The letter has a printed heading that reads "UNITED STATES NAVAL FORCE ON ASIATIC STATION". The letter is boldly signed "George Dewey" with "Admiral, U.S. Navy, Commanding U.S. Naval Force on Asiatic Station" typed under the signature. This group also includes a stereoview, dated 1899, of Admiral Dewey on the Flagship Olympia in his dress white uniform. CONDITION: printed heading, typed body, and signature are all clear and bold. The letter has been tri-folded and has very minor separations at the edges of the fold. Paper is a bit yellowed. Stereoview shows light wear. (02-23298-2/BF). $600-900.
