This medium brown Single Action Army 4 3/4" holster was made by the Padgitt Bros Co in Dallas, TX in the late 1890s or early 1900s. It is rawhide laced and in excellent condition. The Padgitt Brothers secured a contract with Buffalo Bill Cody's Wil West Shot to supply all saddles, belts, holsters and leather gear after Tom Padgitt sent a brights red saddle blanket to the Chief of Buffalo Bill Indians. Overnight, every Indian was lobbying for Padgitt Bros and demanding one of those red saddle pads. The contract was secured immediately. This holster is a fine example of their quality work. CONDITION: holster is in fine condition showing light flaking of leather at top of loop & a few broken stitches around opening. (02-19819). $750-850.
