HANDLOADER'S BULLETS. Six original boxes of .22 caliber bullets. Not loaded ammunition. These bullets were manufactured by Wotkyns-Morse Herkimer, N.Y. Colonel G.L. Wotkyns was a noted designer of early varmint cartridges and was connected with the development of the wildcat cartridges 22-3000 and "2R Lovell". Charles Morse was a ballistician and gunsmith employed at Remington Arms. The bullets were marketed in a large part by famed custom reloader J. Bushnell Smith. One full box with metal corners is marked "8-SPIRE / Wotkyns-Morse Bullets, Herkimer N.Y. / Div. Smith's Custom Loads". The boxes have fading label, but appear all to contain 100 bullets, except one which is a partial nearly-full. Box markings include "2R", "45GR" and "8S". CONDITION: boxes have fading and light handling wear. Bullets appear serviceable. PROVENANCE: Norman Olliff Estate. (02-25646/RW). AMMO. $25-50.
