The model 25 was Daisy's most powerful and longest running BB gun. The 45 shot slide action repeater was designed by Fred Lefever. Production started in 1913 to 1978 and was reintroduced in 1986. Over 75 variations have been produced. 1) MODEL 25, VARIANT 3. Cal. 175/BB. NSN. Short elbow-slide action ca. 1919. Fixed front with adj. rear sight missing elevator. Large takedown screw. Straight grip walnut stock with 5 groove slide handle. CONDITION: slide bar retains 30% blue. Bbl. and action blue has faded to brown. Stock shows heavy wear & handling marks. Action has good compression. 2) MODEL 25, VARIANT 5. Cal. 175/BB. NSN. Long slide action has small takedown screw and is not engraved. Fixed front with adj. rear sight. Pistol grip walnut stock with 6 groove pump handle. Ca. 1932. CONDITION: metal finish has largely faded to brown. Wood shows light handling marks. Action has good compression. 3) MODEL 25, VARIANT 7. Cal. 175/BB. NSN. Receiver has stamped scroll ornamentation featuring scenes of a hunter with dog and doves. Long slide action. Fixed front with adj. rear sight. Pistol grip walnut stock with 6 groove pump handle. Mfg. 1936-1942 and 1945-1951. CONDITION: 80% lightly faded blue showing scattered freckling. Bbl. tube has a sharp dent 9" from the muzzle. Tube seam shows spreading near the muzzle. Wood shows light wear & handling marks. Tang screw is a replacement. Action has weak compression. 4) MODEL 25, VARIANT 7. Cal. 175/BB. NSN. Standard stamped scroll engraving. Blue finish with case colored long slide bar. Standard fixed front with adj. rear sight. Pistol grip stock with 6 groove pump handle. Mfg. 1936-1942 and 1945-1951. CONDITION: over 70% blue & case colored metal finish showing areas of light corrosion. Stocks show edge wear & handling marks. Gun fires prematurely when the action is cycled. 5) MODEL 25, VARIANT 7. Cal. 175/BB. NSN. Receiver has standard stamped scroll engraving. Blue finish. Fixed front with adj. rear sight. Pistol grip walnut stock with 6 groove pump handle. Mfg. 1936-1942 and 1945-1951. CONDITION: over 70% lightly faded blue showing scattered corrosion. Wood shows handling marks with finish at the butt from water exposure. Action is not functioning. 6) NO. 107 BUCK JONES SPECIAL. Cal. 175/BB. NSN. Slide action 60 shot gravity fed repeater. Action has scroll engraving with "BUCK JONES" marking on the left side. Bottom of action has a hand engraved ID. marking. Fixed sights. Grooved forearm and flat sided pistol grip stock. Left side has a sundial and compass. Sundial needle is not present. Mfg. 1934-1942. CONDITION: over 75% blue showing spotted freckling and scratches. Original wood finish shows some handling marks. Actin has good compression. (02-26431/DS). NON-GUN. $500-1,000.
