SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# E6924. Bbl. 4 5/8". Vis.35 (German designation: "P.35(p)") semi-automatic pistol mfg. at the Radom arsenal while under German occupation during World War II. Left side of the slide is marked "F.B.RADOM VIS Mod.35.Pat.Nr.15567.", followed by an eagle firing proof and Steyr Eagle/WaA623 (indicating final assembly at Steyr), above a Radom Eagle/WaA77 proof and "P.35(p)". Left side of the frame is marked with a Radom Eagle/WaA77 proof, with 2 Steyr Eagle/WaA623 proofs marked on the left side of the bbl. lug. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the bbl., which is polished in-the-white. Frame is mounted with 2-piece "FB" (left) and "VIS" (right) checkered black synthetic grips. Slide features a matte rib, with a fixed blade front sight and dovetailed V-notch rear sight. Frame features a slotted back strap. All serialized parts are matching and include the frame, slide (interior), and bbl. MAGS: 1 blued 8-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning (primarily on edges and grip straps) that show through to gray patina, with some scattered superficial marks present around the takedown lever slot. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light pitting, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some mild smoothing, as well as some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Charles Wagner.
