Cal. 45. NSN. Bbl. 4 1/2". Flintlock pistol produced by an unknown mfg. Lockplate appears to be marked "L : IVGNO". The top flat of the faceted breech is stamped with a fleur-de-lis proof, above a boxed proof of what appears to be a horse. Plain wood stock, with brass trigger guard, pommel, wrist escutcheon, and sideplate. Ramrod and ramrod ferrule are absent. CONDITION: metal components retain varying shades of gray patina, with a dull brown patina present on the bbl. Brass components exhibit a mellow brown patina. Stock shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, scattered chipping, as well as notable losses to the ramrod channel. (01-27152/MLW). ANTIQUE. $200-300.
