Cal. 38 LC. S# 13296. Bbl. 6". Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on grip frame, bbl., cyl., extractor & right grip panel. US Army Model 1899 S&W revolver. Left rear of frame marked "K.S.M". Bottom of grip frame marked "US ARMY MODEL 1899". Blued finish with case colored hammer & trigger. Checkered hardwood grips marked "KSM" & "JTT 1901". Lanyard ring present on bottom of grip frame. CONDITION: grips show some dings & handling marks. Trigger & hammer retain a strong amount of their case colors with operational wear & scattered oxidation. Balance of metal retains 40% blue with overall fading, scattered edge wear & light oxidation. Action is sluggish but functional when hand cycled. Very good bright bore. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of George Staden S&W Member #3451. (25-39/MJC). CURIO. $1200-1800.
