Cal. 45 Colt. S# S&W9723. Bbl. 6 1/2", pinned. Ramped serrated blade front sight with orange insert. Adjustable square notch rear sight with white outline. One of 10,000 Model 25-3 revolvers made in 1977 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Smith & Wesson. Monogram has wreaths with a "125 YEARS" marking. Right side of the bbl. has "125 ANNIVERSARY" under the Smith & Wesson marking. Several markings have a yellow highlight. Blued finish with a case-colored target hammer and trigger. Smooth Goncalo Alves target grips with silver S&W medallions. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 125th Anniversary display case in poor condition with key, medallion, and a hardcover book titled "125 YEARS WITH SMITH & WESSON" by Roy Jinks. CONDITION: grips show some flaking varnish and handling marks. Hammer and trigger retain much of their case colors with some operational wear. Balance of the metal retains 97% of its original blue, with some operational wear and a few scattered light scratches. Bright, very good+ bore. (24-2390/MJC). MODERN. $600-1000.
