REVOLVER. Cal. 38 Spl. S# S78868. Bbl. 6 1/2" pinned. Patridge front sight. Adjustable square notch rear sight. Matching numbers on grip frame, cyl., bbl., extractor & right grip panel. 1950-1951 made S&W 38/44 Outdoorsman revolver. Blued finish with case colored hammer & trigger. Checkered walnut grips with diamond center & silver S&W medallions. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: correct unnumbered gold two-piece factory box. CONDITION: grips show scattered light handling marks & wear. Trigger & hammer retain most of their case colors with some operational wear & oxidation stain specks. Balance of metal retains 95% original blue with scattered edge wear, some light oxidation specks & a drag line on cyl. Action functions properly when hand cycled. Bright near excellent bore.
