REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Spl. S# 26320. Bbl. 5". Hand Ejector mfg. by Smith & Wesson in 1926. Left side of the bbl. is marked "SMITH & WESSON", with the cal. designation marked on the right. Left side of frame is marked with the S&W trademark logo, with "MADE IN U.S.A." marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the trigger and hammer, which exhibit a case color hardened finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Half-moon blade front sight and frame notched rear sight, with lanyard loop on butt. Matching numbers are present on the frame, cyl., ejector, and bbl. Matching assembly #s are present on the frame and cyl. crane. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, some superficial handling marks, as well as some small spots of light surface oxidation and pitting overall. Trigger and hammer retain most of their original case color hardened finish, with some light wear and fading present overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting some light flecks of pitting and oxidation towards the muzzle, while retaining well defined rifling throughout. Grips show some superficial marks and minor impressions from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. (24-5609/MLW). CURIO. $600-900.
