Cal. 22 Long. S# 19378. Bbl. 3". Round blade front sight and fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on the frame, cyl., and bbl.; the grips and extractor appear to be unnumbered. 3rd Model revolver, mfg. 1911-1921. Blued finish with case-colored trigger and hammer. Smooth hardwood grips with gold S&W medallions. CONDITION: The grips show some flaking varnish, dings, and handling marks. Trigger and hammer retain strong traces of case colors, with overall fading to gray and some oxidation. Balance of metal retains 40% of its blue, with patches of pitting under the grips, overall flaking to brown, and some scattered oxidation. Action appears to function properly when hand-cycled. Bore shows scattered oxidation and some pitting but strong rifling. (24-7177/MJC). CURIO. $150-250.
