Cal. 38 Spl. S# C86559. Bbl. 2", pinned. Round blade front sight. Fixed rear sight. Matching numbers on frame, bbl., cyl., extractor, and right grip panel. Post-war five-screw M&P revolver mfg. 1948-1951. Blued finish with case-colored trigger and hammer. Checkered walnut grips with silver S&W medallions. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: correct gold factory box with screwdriver and cleaning kit. CONDITION: front of right grip panel shows a small crack; grips otherwise show a couple light chips, some dings, and handling marks. Trigger and hammer retain much of their case colors with some light operational wear. Balance of metal retains 90% original blue with scattered fading and edge wear. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Very good bore. (24-5622/MJC). CURIO. $500-700.
