Cal. 22 MRF. S# K369425. Bbl. 8 3/8" pinned. Patridge front sight. Adjustable square notch rear sight. Early no-dash Model 48 revolver made in 1959. 6-shot recessed cyl. Blued finish with case colored hammer & trigger. Checkered hardwood grips with mismatch number right panel, silver S&W medallions & diamond center. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory box in fair condition that has no labels. CONDITION: right grip panel has a darker appearance than left, grips otherwise show a couple dings, some screw slot wear & handling marks. Hammer & trigger retain most of their case colors with some operational wear, fading & oxidation specks. Balance of metal retains 97% original blue with so me high edge wear on bbl. & a couple small spots of light oxidation. Action is functional but insides have storage grease. Bright near excellent bore with some storage grease remnants. PROVENANCE: From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret. USAF Lt. Col. (26-598/MJC). CURIO. $500-800.
