WITH CASE & .22 LR CYLINDER. Cal. 22 Rem. Jet / 22 LR. S# K476072. Bbl. 5 7/8". Model 53 double action revolver, mfg. by Smith & Wesson in 1962. Left side of the bbl. is marked "SMITH & WESSON", with "22 MAGNUM" marked on the right. Right side of the frame is marked with the S&W trademark logo, followed by S&W's mfg. information. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the trigger and hammer, which exhibit a case color hardened finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece S&W medallion checkered wood grips. Ramped blade front sight and adj. square notch rear sight, with adj. hammer for Centerfire and Rimfire cartridges. Matching numbers are present on the frame and ejector. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: wood display case, containing a .22 LR cyl., 6 .22 LR chamber inserts (for the .22 Rem. Jet cyl.), disassembly tool, cleaning rod, and two bore brushes. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray patina, with scattered superficial handling marks overall. Trigger and hammer show some light wear but otherwise retain the majority of their original case color hardened finish. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips are very good overall, showing a few superficial handling marks. Wood display case shows some exterior wear from handling and storage but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable.
