REVOLVER. Cal. 32 RF. S# 155976. Bbl. 6" ribbed w/ S&W markings on top plus brass blade sight. Mfg. 1861-1874 (approx. 77,000 units) & this one w/in time frame before Civil War. Called Army model & often used in Civil War, yet none purchased by military. Unfluted 6 rd. cyl. w/ patent dates; 61 assembly number on face, bbl. & lower left rear of frame under grip. Matching numbered (under right) rosewood grips. Top strap w/ 3 pins; earliest models had 2. CONDITION: good original appearance w/ areas of bright blue. Cyl. & grip area w/ grey patina tone. Light scratches & pinprick oxidation throughout. Broken head of bbl. hinge screw. Good plus grips w/ slight marks at butt & sm. chip on right. Fair pitted bore & good mechanical functioning.
