Bright finished hammer. 2 piece checkered walnut grips. Left side under grip is marked w/ diamond & 5 24 date. Butt of gun after serial number has star marking. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: letter from Smith & Wesson detailing the following information, "Your revolver, serial number 26145, was one of the New Model Number 3s supplied to the United States for the Coast Guard and records indicate this was shipped on June 27, 1890 from our factory. / The diamond shape marking is a refinishing mark and the numbers 5, 24 is a representation that this work was performed in May, 1924.". CONDITION: near excellent as factory restored retaining 98% blue showing a light cyl. drag line & small marks. 90% fading case colors. Grips have lightly worn checkering. Sound action.
