Cal. 44 Russian. S# 33353. Bbl. 6 1/2" w/ rib. Pinned blade bead front sight & U notch adj. rear sight. Six shot 1-9/16" fluted cyl. Blue finished top break action w/ case colored hammer & trigger guard. Two piece checkered walnut round butt grips. Introduced in 1878 & shipped until 1912, all frames were mfg. by 1898. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: hardwood presentation case w/ green felt fitted interior. Case contains 2 cavity bullet mold, wood mallet, assorted cleaning tools, loading tools & case key. Inside of lid has gold colored marking "A.GUINARD/AVENUE DE L'OPERA / PARIS". Brass shield on lid exterior is marked w/ stylized initials that appear to be "FPC". CONDITION: over 80% bright blue showing scattered spotting & handling marks. Very good grips. Sound & tight action. Bright near excellent bore. (01-26166/DS). ANTIQUE. $5,000-8,000.
