SA REVOLVER. Cal. 44 S&W American. S# 20670. Bbl. 8" round w/ rib & semi-circular pinned blade front sight. Six shot fluted cyl. Top break action. 75% coverage of New York style engraving. Engraving consists of vine type foliate scroll w/ punch dot backgrounds having straight line borders w/ geometric designs. Nickel finish. 2 piece Ivory grips. Mfg. 1870-74. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster in fair overall condition. Black leather shows cracking & flaking of finish throughout. Closing hole of flap has tear with leather reinforcement on interior. Crease of flap has tear on right side. Body of holster shows modification holes & 2 large inlet holes for belt where belt loop was previously (now missing). CONDITION: over 50% nickel showing spots of flaking & light pitting. Grips have acquired a yellow color showing substantial age related shrinking & checking. Cyl. shows slight side play. Dark lightly pitted bore retains intact rifling.
