REVOLVER WITH FACTORY BOX. Cal. 32 S&W. S# 29186. Bbl. 4". Regulation Police double action revolver, mfg. by Smith & Wesson. Left side of the bbl. is marked "SMITH & WESSON", with S&W's mfg. and patent information marked over the top, and "REGULATION POLICE" above the cal. designation on the right. Left side of frame is marked with the S&W trademark logo, with "MADE IN U.S.A." marked on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the trigger and hammer, which exhibit a case color hardened finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips, which appear to have been lightly sanded and oiled. Half-moon blade front sight, with frame notched rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, cyl., ejector, and bbl. Matching assembly #s are present on the frame and cyl. crane. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: non-matching Model 34-1 factory box. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light edge wear and some superficial handling marks, with mild wear and thinning present on either side of the bbl. at the muzzle. Trigger and hammer retain the majority of their vibrant case color-hardened finish. Mirror bore, exhibiting a few scattered spots of light to mild pitting/oxidation towards the muzzle, while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent, as lightly sanded and oiled, with a few minor superficial handling marks overall. Box is very good overall, with some mild exterior wear as well as some discoloration that is present on the label. (24-5618/MLW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
