PISTOL. Cal. 9x23mm Largo. S# 07711. Bbl. 6 1/2". Campo Giro Model 1913-16 semi-automatic pistol mfg. in Spain by Esperanza y Unceta. Top rear of the slide is marked with the model designation, above a wreathed star, as well as "ESPERANZA/ Y/ UNCETA/ GUERNICA." Left side of the frame is marked with the model designation, above the S#. Metal components exhibit a blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Right grip panel is carved with a crown over "CAMPO-GIRO," a wreathed star, as well as an intertwined "EU" monogram. Half-moon blade front sight with U-notch rear sight. Mag. is absent. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a gray patina, with varying degrees of pitting overall. Bore exhibits moderate pitting while retaining good rifling throughout. Left grip panel exhibits heavy smoothing, as well as scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage.
