Cal. 45 Rifled. S# 0003952. Bbl. 33 1/2". Full stock percussion rifle mfg. by Jukar in Spain. Left quarter flat of the octagonal bbl. is marked "JUKAR", followed by the S# and "SPAIN". Lockplate and hammer exhibit light decorative engraving. Steel parts exhibit a blue finish overall. 2-piece plain wood stock featuring a brass buttplate, trigger guard, sideplate, band (forward of the trigger guard separating the stock into 2 pieces), nose cap, and ramrod pipes. Reverse mounted dovetailed brass blade front sight with dovetailed V-notch rear sight. Complete with brass tipped hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear fading to gray and brown patinas, as well as some scattered spots of light surface oxidation. Bbl. exhibits light to mild oxidation and pitting around the percussion nipple. Brass hardware has acquired a mellow patina. Bright bore, retaining good rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Stock shows some superficial handling marks, but otherwise remains very good overall. (01-28214/MLW). ANTIQUE. $200-350.
