LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 32-40. S# D8208. Round 22" barrel; non-standard length. German silver blade front sight, folding rear sight & Marlin smokeless powder rear sight mounted onto receiver. 8 Round tubular mag. Case hardened receiver with filled in hole and plug screw on top of receiver that went through the "MARLIN SAFETY" stamp. Two piece walnut stock set w/ crescent buttplate. CONDITION: over 80% original blue with streaks of fading finish to gray/brown patina & areas of varnish overspray. Good vivid case colors with wear to varnish & cleaned area on top of receiver around filled in hole. Wood has old refinish with marks. Bore shows strong rifling & light pitting.
