WITH EXTRA LENGTH BARREL. Cal. 44 WCF (44-40). S# 75798. Bbl. 26" octagon, 2" longer than standard. Beech's combination front sight, with sporting rear sight. Button mag. Screw fastened dust cover rail. Blued bbl. & mag tube, with nickel finished receiver having case colored hammer and lever. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock, with crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Mfg. in 1881. CONDITION: bbl. blue has faded to brown, showing edge wear. Action has traces of nickel finish, with balance fading to gray, showing spots of surface freckling. Stocks have age darkened worn finish, showing numerous scratches, marks, and dents. Left side of stock has a 2" crack extending from the action. Mechanically fine. Lightly frosted bore retains strong rifling. (01-27092/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,500-5,000.
