ACTION RIFLE WITH WINCHESTER FACTORY LETTER. Cal. 32 WCF. S# 248410B. Desirable & seldom seen configuration with 24" octagon to round barrel and full length mag. Replacement bead front sight, with original sporting rear sight, and Model 1873 folding peep tang sight. Blue finish, with case colored hammer and lever. Walnut forearm and straight grip stock, with crescent steel buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum record stating "Type: Rifle/ Caliber: 32/ Barrel Type: 1/2 Octagon/ Trigger: Plain/ Received in warehouse on August 11, 1887/ Shipped from warehouse on August 13, 1887, Order number 22082". CONDITION: 40% original blue fading to brown. Forearm has lightly worn original finish, showing scratches and marks, with small chip at tip. Lightly sanded and refinished stock shows scratches, marks, and small dings with a small crack at toe. Dark lightly pitted bore has sharp rifling. (01-27077/DS). ANTIQUE. $3,500-4,500.
