Cal. 52 (56-52). S# 9054. Bbl. 20". Carbine rear sight graduated to 900yds. Blade front sight. Receiver has three line Boston, MA address. Straight grip walnut stock & forend w/ bbl. band. Saddle bar & ring present on left side of stock. Buttstock has sling swivel. 7 rd. tubular mag. inserts through steel buttplate. No visible inspector's cartouche on stock but left side of butt has carved name that appears to read "CARL SHLA". CONDITION: stock set has added varnish w/ butt showing several long cracks w/ a couple extending into wrist. Stock set otherwise shows scattered dings, handling marks & a few small gouges. Bbl. retains strong traces of blue w/ overall fading, some varnish overrun, light pitting at muzzle & scattered light dings. Action is mostly a gray patina w/ scattered pitting, varnish overrun & some light dings. Bore retains strong rifling w/ some scattered pitting. (01-22692/MJC). ANTIQUE. $1200-1800.
