Cal. 56-50. S#. 30449. Bbl. 20". Fixed front sight w/ carbine leaf rear sight. Exposed hammer lever operated action does not have the Stabler cut off. Saddle ring & bar are mounted on left side. 7-rd. tubular mag. inserts through the buttplate. Band fastened forearm and straight grip stock with sling swivel. Right side of receiver has a hand punched marking "PP". Approx. 34,000 mfg. by Burnside Rifle Co. circa. 1865. CONDITION: metal has faded to gray showing spots of corrosion and small dents. Sanded and refinished forearm shows handling marks with cracks extending from action and tip. Stock shows heavy wear with dents and marks having small cracks and chips around lock, frame, and buttplate. Functioning action. Mag. tube is intact.
