RING CARBINE. Cal. 56-50. S#. 18261. Bbl. 20" rd. is marked "M1865" at breech end. Fixed front with carbine leaf rear sight. Case colored lever action has the Stabler cutoff with a saddle rig & bar on the left side. 7-rd. tubular mag. inserts thru the steel carbine buttplate. Band fastened walnut forend & straight grip stock w/ sling swivel along toe line. Left side of stock has lightly visible "EAW" (E.A. Williams) and "DAP" (Dwight A. Perkins) cartouches. Approximately 23,000 mfg. 1865. CONDITION: bbl. retains over 70% lightly faded blue. The action shows some lightly visible case colors. Unsanded wood has added finish over scratches, marks, and dents. Sound action, mag. is intact. Lightly pitted bore retains sound rifling. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Norm Greenberg Collection.
