SEMI AUTO PISTOL MADE FROM WWII COLT FRAME. Cal. 45 ACP. S# 1206607. Original mfg. during WWII in 1943 as a Colt M1911A1 pistol. This has been modified by Springfield Armory with features of 1960 National Match pistols. Left side of frame has "SA" Springfield Armory proof, "T" gunsmith proof & "NM" proof on triggerguard bow. Colt National Match 5" barrel with hand stamped matching numbered & parts number "7790429. Barrel bushing electro penciled "6607". Colt Government Model slide has tall Patridge blade front sight & square notch rear sight; left side of slide matching numbered "6607". Frame has added checkering to front strap. Plastic National Match trigger. Two piece fully checkered walnut grips. Scattered throughout pistol is firing proof punches. MAGS: 1 WWII C-S 7 rd. with parkerized refinish. CONDITION: pistol has very good arsenal parkerized refinish showing scattered spots of wear. Very good grips with a few flattened diamonds. Very good bore with strong rifling & light frosting.
