Cal. 45-70. S# 220118. Bbl. 32 5/8". Barley corn front sight with Model 1873 graduated leaf rear sight. Breechblock is dated "1873". Springfield marked lock. 2-band walnut stock with iron fittings. Leather military sling. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: U.S. marked triangular bayonet with metal scabbard. CONDITION: metal has faded to mottled gray/brown with surface corrosion and areas of light pitting. Stock shows heavy wear with dents and marks having a large chip below the lock with smaller chips around the butt. Functioning lock and action. Bore has a frosted appearance and retains intact rifling. Bayonet and scabbard have faded brown appearance with scattered spots of light pitting. (01-27149/DS). ANTIQUE. $400-600.
