Cal. 45-70. S# 222821. Bbl. 32 5/8". Pinned blade front sight with Model 1879 graduated leaf rifle rear sight. "1873" dated low arch breechblock. Springfield marked lock. 2-band stock with iron fittings. Left side of butt has a hand carved "W". Slotted tip wiping rod. CONDITION: metal finish is fading to brown/gray showing small handling marks and carry wear. Heavily sanded and refinished stock has remaining dents and handling marks. Stock has small crack between rear lock screw and breech with small cracks and chips forward of trigger plate. Sound lock and action. Dark moderately pitted bore with worn rifling.
