SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 9mm Luger. S# 2699. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger mfg. at the Mauser arsenal during World War II. The bbl. extension is marked with the 2-digit year of mfg. "41" over the chamber, with a spurious "Ku" marking on the left. Right side of bbl. extension, as well as the left side of the bbl. and breechblock exhibit spurious Luftwaffe "LZA" Luftwaffe acceptance proofs. Metal components exhibit a mixture of salt blue and cold blue finishes overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. All numbers have been renumbered to match, including the replacement grips and the mags. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: black leather holster stamped "cey/ 41" above an Eagle/WaA47 acceptance proof on the rear. Interior of holster exhibits a spurious Eagle/2 acceptance proof, which is also present on the loading tool. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their reapplied cold blue finish, exhibiting wear and thinning overall that shows through to gray and brown patinas. Front grip strap has been heavily cleaned and exhibits gray toning, with striations from cleaning. Very bright bore, exhibiting mild pitting, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Replacement grips are very good overall, showing few minor marks and impressions from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remaining sturdy and serviceable. (24-1002/MLW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
