Cal. 70. NSN. Bbl. 8". Napoleonic era Flintlock cavalry pistol. Mfg. 1806-1814. Lock has crown "J" & St. Etienne markings. Bbl. "Mle 13" marking is very faint. No visible bbl. date. Bbl. marked w/ intertwined "R". Several parts have crown "P" markings. Right side of band is marked w/ upside down "4". Hardwood stock w/ brass furniture. Left side of stock has what appears to be an "X" & "C" carving. Button tipped ramrod present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: modern softcase. CONDITION: stock appears sanded w/ added thick varnish, a few small cracks, some chips, scattered dings & handling wear. Brass parts are mostly a yellow patina that appears cleaned long ago w/ some oxidation & dings. Balance of metal is a gray patina w/ scattered oxidation & pitting. Oxidized bore. (01-23319/MJC).
