SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# R9233. The 30" armor steel bbls. fitted with matted game rib have correct L.C. Smith grade markings and Hunter Arms address on tops. Bbl. flats are stamped with serial number and grade. Case hardened standard frame action with rotary bolt features nonautomatic safety and double triggers. Action and lockplates are not engraved. “L.C. SMITH” is stamped on each lockplate. Blued trigger guard is also unmarked. Relatively plain American walnut pistolgrip buttstock measures 14 1/2" over ribbed hard rubber buttplate. Point pattern checkering is at grip and gripcap is missing. Matching splinter forend has J-spring and secondary pushbutton sugar tong release. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS: Bore Diameter: R .727", L .727". Restriction: R .018" (MOD), L .033" (FULL). Min. Wall Thickness: R .026", L .031". STOCK: DAH: 2 3/4". DAC: 1 9/16". LOP: 14 1/2". CAST: neutral. WEIGHT: 7 lb. 14 oz. CONDITION: fine, bbls. retaining over 70% of their original blue, thinning overall and with light freckling. Action and lockplates retain most of their original case hardening color. Bottom of action shows considerable silvering and light freckling (should clean). Trigger guard retains most of its blue, again with some light rusting which may clean. Stocks retain over 70% of their original finish with a considerable amount of light scratches and marks and some black discoloration on left side of butt. Checkering is lightly worn. Bores are bright and shiny without noted problems. Action is tight. Mechanically good. (22-4847/MGM). CURIO. $400-600.
