Cal. 8x56R. S# 303j. Bbl. 20". Blade front sight. Ladder rear sight graduated to 2200m. All visible numbers match as arsenal refurbished. Long Steyr M95 converted to carbine configuration and updated for the 8x56 round. Bbl. has "S" marking and a 1916 Austrian acceptance stamp. Both right and left sides of the receiver have spurious WWII German stamps. Arsenal blue finish. European hardwood stock set with left side sling provisions and leather sling. Right side of butt has a spurious WWII German eagle "623" inspection stamp. CONDITION: stock set has arsenal rework finish with scattered dings and handling wear. Metal retains 90% arsenal rework blue with some light oxidation, scattered thinning, and fading on the exposed edges. Action functions properly when hand-cycled.
